Summary: The Wildwood 1964 ES-345 Figured Limited (Non-Varitone) is the second release in Wildwood’s Limited Run line of instruments. These instruments reflect an incredible level of craftsmanship and beauty, paying homage to the great semi-hollows of the past, while expanding upon the classic framework with choice upgrades, featuring an ultra-comfortable neck profile, Adirondack bracing, custom wound pickups and gorgeous highly-figured bodies.
Body: 3-ply highly figured maple/poplar/maple top, back and sides. Adirondack spruce bracing. High gloss lacquer finish in VOS dark vintage natural. Multi-ply binding on top and back.
Neck: One-piece mahogany with 1964 rounded “C” profile. Hot hide glue neck joint. Rosewood fretboard with rolled neck binding and split parallelogram inlays. Nylon nut. 24 3/4" scale length. 12” fretboard radius.
Pickups/Hardware: Two Gibson custom humbuckers wound to Wildwood spec. Two volume and two tone controls; three-way pickup selector switch. Bound black pickguard and black pickup rings. Gold hardware. ABR bridge with stopbar. Nylon saddles. Kluson double ring tulip tuners.
Cosmetics: This guitar is in excellent condition with little sign of wear. There some very light finish scratches and some fading on the gold hardware. The figured maple is gorgeous and rich-looking.
Playability: This guitar has excellent playability with low action and no buzz or dead spots. Notes ring out acoustically with authority. The custom wound pickups provide a warm, articulate tone. This is a fun guitar to play.
