2011 Gibson Midtown Standard Ebony, Very Good, Original Hard case

Summary: The Midtown Standard covers the sonic spectrum, from hard rock to soft jazz with an elegant, upscale design. Ultra-playable and super-stylish, this particular Gibson has a wonderful ebony finish & it comes with the original hardshell case!

Body: Semi-hollow double cutaway electric guitar with a maple top & mahogany back. The top and the neck are fully bound.

Neck: Mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlays, 22 frets, 1.695” nut width, 12” radius, 24.75” scale length. The frets are in great shape and show very little wear.

Pickups/Hardware: Chrome hardware, 22 frets, 57 Classic pickups, 1 volume knob & 1 tone knob with a 3-way selector switch. This Gibson has Grover locking tuning keys. This instrument features white plastics & white speed knobs.

Cosmetics: This instrument is in really good shape but it does have some light signs of wear. This Gibson has lots of light pick scratching on the top & I found lots of swirls & fine scratches throughout the top of the but you have to hold it in the light to see them – most likely these swirls are from polish cloths & they are hard to see unless you have the guitar in your hands. The back also shows some light swirling in the finish with a few minor dings that only show up in certain light. Not unplayed, but it is a well-cared for guitar!

Playability: This Gibson plays great – we set it up with 10’s and it plays with no buzzing or dead spots.
Modifications: The original Grover tuning keys were replaced with locking Grover tuning keys.
