The Gibson Pat Martino Custom thinline archtop is an excellent example of form following function. A fairly thin, chambered mahogany back is capped with a carved flame maple top. This provides a lightweight, resonant body with rich harmonic response. The mahogany neck features a tapered headstock, so the string travels a straight line from the stop tailpiece to the tuner. An ebony fingerboard helps provide clearly defined separation between notes. This is a very nice guitar, to hold, to play, and to look at.
This Gibson pat Martino Custom was built in 1999, and production ended in 2006. It is in good condition with some light play wear and a few small dings. The original hardshell case is included.
This is a consignment piece.
