1935 Gibson RB-1 Banjo with Factory Original Leaves & Bows Inlay

For sale: 1935 RB-1 Gibson Banjo with factory original Leaves & Bows Inlay, from the collection of Noam Pikelny. Original 5-String Neck. This banjo has been converted with a Huber HR-30 Tonering and an original 5-String Presto tailpiece. Includes the original hardshell case. To the best of my knowledge, only 3 total RB-1's have surfaced with this special inlay, most commonly found on the RB-3 model. This banjo was found many years ago by Geoff Hohwald and then it made its way into the personal collection of master builder and player, Steve Huber. It's simply the finest conversion flathead banjo I've ever encountered, which is a testament to the tonal contributions of a prewar original 5-string neck. Original frets, geared 5th tuner added.
