Vintage Gibson SG I with an Older worn Case. What a great way to add to a Vintage Collection or to Start a Vintage Collection without breaking the bank. The Neck is Straight and True with a Fully Functional Truss Rod. The Fret Wire is Perfect. The Pickup is Strong and Pronounced. The instrument weighs just 6.1Lbs. There is some finish removed from the bottom edge. Color fade is apparent as is checking, which makes it a bit cooler. I do believe the tuners are not Original, only because mine was purchased new with Chrome tuners. One tailpiece stud has been upgraded and the pots date to 72. The Volume pot has been replaced with one that dates 1970. The neck is a comfortable C.
This instrument is a true survivor and is free of repaired cracks.
