This is a vey cool Gibson SG classic that Josh from Protocaster Guitars madeover to be like an early 60's SG special. This guitar has a 2 piece body, single piece neck, Josh filled the pickup routes and rerouted for a tighter fit, recarved the neck joint to look like a squared early 60s style joint, replaced tuners, replaced electronics, replaced all hardware. The pickups are Kent Armstrong Stealth P-90's that sound really great!!!! Very strong and clear!!!
Josh then did his refinishing and aging that he is becoming so widely known for. Shot in 100% non catalyzed nitrocellulose laquer, and aged, this color is a variant to Pelham blue called Charcoal frost metallic!!!!
These are fun projects and the guitars come out really well, a great, reasonably pricedSG that looks and sounds like a vintage one!!!!
