A 1961 Gibson SG Special in Cherry finish.
Oh my. Be still our beating hearts, this guitar really thrills us. Set up in-house by our esteemed Guitar Tech so it's playing and sounding like a million dollars. Slim early 60s neck. Original in all the ways that matter with only a new Brass nut and a professional refret, plus the installation of an Ilitch hum-canceling coil inside the control cavity. The Ilitch hum-canceling system uses a specially designed dummy coil which generates the same noise as the single coil pickups but in the opposite polarity thus cancelling out the hum created by the pickups. Used by such luminaries as John Frusciante, this is not a gimmick. It's an elegant solution that does not alter the tone of the pickups, just the hum. A small circuit board in the system has a Trim Control to dial in the hum control to match the guitars pickups. Comes with a newer Gibson hard shell case.
