1963 Gibson SG Special Cherry Red w/ Lyre Vibrato and Hardshell Case
A wonderful vintage original players 1963 Gibson SG Special. It's light and resonant and features an added lyre vibrato tailpiece.
P-90 pickups are warm and strong and full of vintage tone. Guitar features a newer, larger, contemporary SG pickguard. The body has been routed for humbuckers and filled and the original P-90s are back in the guitar. Tone is out of this world. Super warm and punchy with tone for days. Lots of sustain.
There is a slight heel repair where the neck meets the body. It is professionally done and it's not going anywhere. Tuners have been upgraded to vintage style Grovers. They keep the guitar well in tune.
This is a light, resonant and killer example of an early SG Special for a reasonable price. Perfect for live or studio use.
Sound and playability is just fantastic.

We use UPS ground for shipping. We can work out overnight shipping on a case by case basis. Buyer pays all shipping charges.

After 24 hours, no returns. Buyer assumes all shipping charges. If we agree to a return, as in an internet sale, instruments must be returned in the condition they were sent. Shipping costs will be deducted from the return, and buyer will assume these costs. If we accept a return there will also be a 5% re-stocking fee. All merchandise sold is in used - as is condition. All sales final. If there is an exception made on any return over 24 hours, there will be a 15% re-stocking fee to the customer. No returns whatsoever on guitar parts.
