1964 Gibson SG Special Red, Excellent, Hard, $3,995.00
Everything about this SG Special says 64 except the serial number. Serial says early 65. Pot codes, truss cover, medium neck profile say 64. So we'll call it an early 65 with 64 features. Nice vibrant red with very little wear anywhere. Back of the neck is smooth and clean but shows minor wear and probable light overspray on the back of the headstock and first few frets. The neck join is as clean and solid as any I've seen. Big fat sounding P90's. 1 11/16" nut. Case is from the 90's and is beat up but functional. Under 7 lbs.
