1965 Gibson SG Special Cherry

Here's a 1965 Gibson SG Special in Cherry finish. This is an original, one owner guitar! And one of the best playing & sounding examples we've come across (current store favorite). No breaks/cracks/issues. At one point the guitar had Grovers on, but the originals are back on. There's some light buckle rash on the back, but overall the guitar is in great shape. The cherry finish is still very vibrant and un-faded. All pots date to 1965. This is an earlier '65/late '64, with a 1 11/16" nut width. Transitional piece, with an original chrome bridge, and original nickel vibrola tailpiece. Playability is exceptional, with low action down the fretboard, and a killer feeling full neck profile. Frets are in good shape with life left. And the tone!! Two strong P-90's that are full and punchy. Awesome range between both. The vibrola also works fantastic! Yes, the guitar stays in tune. Extra bonus....the guitar is featherweight! 6lbs 3oz. There's nothing like an incredible vintage SG....and this ones got it! HSC...
