An amazingly clean and original 1961 Gibson SG Special in Cherry! This particular guitar has the double cutaway layout, first introduced in mid-1958. Another notable and unique feature on this example is the crown inlay on the headstock! Many other headstock examples post-1961 were left blank, and pre-1961 examples had the “Les Paul” silkscreen. Gibson also moved back the neck pickup towards the bridge in order to give the guitar more treble and bottom end. The neck profile is the slimmer profile standard in 1961, and the frets are in great shape! It’s voiced by two complementary P-90s, with a 6.58K in the bridge, and 6.48K in the neck position.

It weighs in at 7lbs and 12 oz, and comes with original chipboard Gibson case.
