One of the most interesting guitars we've come across in awhile, a mid-60s Gibson SG that was converted to left-handed and back again. During the conversion the body was routed to move the electronics. The holes on the top have been plugged and the routs on the back are covered with plastic backplates. See Photos.
The back of the neck has been painted black and extended as a stinger at the heel. We believe there was a heel repair made prior to this painting. The Pelham Blue Nitro finish is original and the lacquer has naturally yellowed the color to Green. Bridge and mid-60s Vibrola tailpiece are original. The guitar has original pots dating to 1966 along with replaced Gibson humbucking pickups.
Inspected and professionally set up in-house by our skilled Guitar Tech. The guitar is structurally sound and plays well. It's looking for a new owner who will love it (as we do) with all its eccentricities and battle scars. Maybe that's you. If you're interested in purchasing this vintage instrument, please feel free to call us at the Shop for an in-hand description and to answer any questions you may have.
