Here we have a 1967 Gibson SG Standard that has stood the test of time. It’s in good overall condition with a patina of finish wear, dings, and general playwear that add character and authenticity to this stalwart SG.
The addition of Patent Sticker pickups that pre-date the guitar are the kind of modification you don’t mind seeing because they’re great pickups and arguably even better than what came with the guitar in 1967. The pickup mounting rings and covers have been removed and are no longer with the guitar. A set of smooth working Grover Rotomatics are another nice addition. There is a superficial crack on the backside of the headstock just below the high E string tuner (see headstock picture) that is not a structural issue and does not require repair, but we wanted to point it out.
The nut width on this SG is 1 9/16 inches. 22 fret Mahogany neck with a bound Rosewood fingerboard. Scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Neck depth at the first fret is .78 inches and at the twelfth fret .97 inches. Original Lyre Vibrola tailpiece.
Plenty of wear, yes, but this guitar is road-proven and will continue to serve you well for years to come. Non-original TKL hardshell case comes with to protect your investment.
