Here we have a 1969 Gibson SG Standard that has all the tone you could possibly want. We’re super impressed by the sound of this guitar. The Patent Decal pickups are one reason, of course, but some guitars just have that extra something that’s hard to explain. This SG has quite a bit of honest playwear but still presents very well. Check out the photos to see what we mean.
Kluson Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons. Nut width is 1 9/16 inches. Mahogany neck with a 24.75 inch scale length with a neck depth of .86 inches at the first fret and 1.06 inches at the twelfth fret. Bound Rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets (in good condition) and a 12 inch radius. Two Patent Decal humbuckers and CTS pots from 1969. Lyre Vibrola tailpiece and ABR-1 with nylon saddle. 5-ply pickguard.
This guitar is all original, and as we said, it’s an exemplary vintage SG in terms of sound and playability. You can’t go wrong with this one. Comes with its original hardshell case.
