Up for sale is a RAD early 1970s Gibson SG Standard in its original Walnut finish. I’m sucker for a 70s SG and love this one. The serial of this guitar puts it in the 1970 – 1972 range and given the size of the volute and the original Gibson Patent Sticker humbuckers we have dated this guitar to 1971. The pots and entire wiring harness has been changed and the harness has been shielded. The tuners have been replaced with a set of Grovers and there is a filled hole on the face of the body, I imagine from a toggle switch at some point. There is evidence this guitar may have had a neck reset at some point and thus the playability is great up and down the neck and gets higher around the 14th fret. Otherwise this SG is awesome and ready for a new home. Comes complete with a non original hard case.
