1974 Gibson SG Standard, factory 2nd, is in excellent condition and perfect playing order. Comes with the original Gibson hard case, which has had one of the feet broken out of the case.
It's unknown why it is a factory 2nd, but a notable anomaly is the top has faded much more than the back of the body. The top appears more like a walnut finish, while the back is more like a faded cherry finish.
At one point, there was a Bigsby or a trapeze tailpiece installed. At the butt-end of the guitar, there are 4 plugged holes around the lower strap button where the fore-mentioned part was.
There's a gouge on the top, near the upper bout edge of the bass side. The top has picking wear on in-between the pickups, along with many wear spots on the body. The back has a good amount of buckle rash, but most do not break the finish and can only be seen in the proper lighting. The body is riddled with bonks, dents, bumps, scratches and scuffs. Nothing to crazy, just some added character.
The frets have some good amount of wear, but does not cause any playing issues.
Has a nut width of 1 9/16", 24 3/4" scale length, weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces.
