2020 Gibson SG Standard Ebony Black

Excellent condition featuring asymmetrical double pointed cutaway contoured mahogany body, large multi-ply black and white pickguard with beveled edges, two humbucking pickups, two volume controls and two tone controls with black reflector top knobs, three-way pickup selector switch with black and gold Rhythm and Treble selector ring and white tip, output jack on the front of the body, stop tailpiece, Nashville tune-o-matic bridge with six individual adjustable steel saddles and two height adjustment wheels, set mahogany neck, bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays starting at the third fret, bone nut, Gibson open book peghead shape, black peghead with pearl Gibson logo and decorative crown inlays, multi-ply bell shaped truss rod cover with SG engraving, three per side Grover Rotomatic tuning machines, serial number and Made in USA impressed into the back of the peghead, single ply black plastic electronics cavity control cover plate, two metal strap buttons and original Gibson branded heavy duty padded leatherette gig bag with red plush interior and all paperwork. This guitar weighs 6lb 8oz.

This 2019 Gibson SG Standard is in overall excellent barely-played cosmetic condition with just a few small pick scratches on the pickguard. The neck profile on this guitar is that of a round chunkier carve with a 1 11/16" nut width and feels very nice in hand and very comfortable. The fret wire on this SG shows no signs of wear and should last its new owner for years to come. This instrument plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard. This Gibson SG is equipped with its original set of 490R and 490T humbucking pickups which sound incredibly good. These pickups offer a bit more of a mellow vintage tone than the 498T and 490R and are perfect for anything from classic rock to more aggressive music. The 490T bridge pickup has a full yet tight sounding bite and the 490R has a fatter more compressed round tone that is amazing for clean and for thick leads. These humbuckers are well balanced and sound great in the middle position as well. This instrument is housed in its original brown leatherette Gibson branded padded gig bag and includes all of its original paperwork.
