Used 2016 Gibson SG Standard P-90 HP, Heritage Cherry

Replay Guitar Exchange is proud to present this Gibson SG Standard P-90 2016 HP model in Heritage Cherry finish. When the original Les Paul evolved into the Les Paul/SG Standard in 1961, it ushered in a new lineup of sleek double-cutaway guitars that would become legendary in their own right — with rock and blues players, in particular. Decked out with the upmarket features of the original SG Standard, but with several twists, the SG Standard 2016 HP carries a pair of screaming P-90 pickups like those used on the original SG Special of the '60s (a favorite of Pete Townshend, Robby Krieger, and other rock greats). The result is a popular alternative tone in a guitar with classic looks and specs, all at an unbeatable price for a genuine American-made Gibson electric guitar... and with upgrades like Next-Generation Gibson G FORCE tuners, a noiseless toggle switch, titanium adjustable zero-fret nut, titanium saddles and a gold-plated multi-contact jack.

This SG is in Very Good condition, with the only issue being a finish that shows clouding in several places, including an obvious angled streak across the lower body (see photos). This susceptibility to clouding is nothing unusual for a guitar finished in high-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer — and of course it doesn't affect tone or playability — but the imperfections may annoy fussier folks. The neck has an estimated 90% fret life, though, and who could be fussy about the sweet, searing tones this guitar will emit?

The included HP case is a massive affair, with plastic protective wrap still protecting its brushed aluminum surface (see photos). The guitar's pick guard still has the protective plastic, too. As always, feel free to contact our store for more details, or with any questions.
