Description

Summary: This 1973 SG is all original and in amazing shape. With a factory-fitted Bigsby and two screaming humbuckers, this is a vintage rock machine in found-under-the-bed condition.

Body: Slab mahogany double-cut with cherry nitrocellulose finish.

Neck: Solid mahogany with volute. Unbound rosewood with small block inlays. Slim taper neck profile.

Electronics/Hardware: Two covered humbuckers. Chrome hardware. Schaller “harmonica” bridge. Gibson-branded Bigsby and tuners. Half-wing pickguard.

Cosmetics: This guitar is incredibly clean. The finish is dark and shiny and shows very little wear apart from light scratches and some small superficial dings. There is pick wear to the guard, and some finish scuffing just above the bridge. There is some oxidation to the chrome on the bridge. Frets are in good shape with a small amount of wear.

Playability: This guitar plays great, without buzz or dead spots. The neck has a C shape that thickens toward the heel and feels substantial without being chunky. The pickups are strong and warm, perfect for rock and blues.

Weight: 7 lbs, 2 oz.

Case: Original hard shell.
