These are some of my favorite period Flat Top guitars ever made, it is from the coolest post-Banner headstock period, its Dark Brown Sunburst finish looks great all faded over its spruce top having a good amount of play wear & having a few crack repairs, its mahogany back & sides are nicely figured, its 1 piece mahogany neck is quite fat & makes this baby sing, these early “examples w/that cool Gibson gold “Script” logos rarely come up for sale, also rare are the original Kluson “war time” open back tuners are still in place & work quite well, its tortoise shell pickgard compliments the color combo perfectly, this is a very interesting period SJ still retaining its original rosewood bridge, its tone is to die for & everything you’d expect from this era, its very good overall having lots of weatherchecking & is all original, it comes with a nice hard case.
