Up for sale a marvelous Gibson Southern Jumbo from 1952. We love Southern Jumbos. I mean we really love them. This one is especially nice. Super lightweight and with a great big sound. And it plays beautifully, too!
A few minor mods and repairs but nothing that compromises the vintage integrity of the instrument. Strap button installed near the heel, a new bone nut and new drop in replacement tuners (original tuners included).
Frets are original and in good condition; have wear but nothing that affects playability. Replaced bone nut that measures 1-11/16th inches. Neck depth measures .89" at the first fret and 1.16" at the twelfth. Action measures 6/64" on the bass side and 4/64" on the treble side. Weighs 4 pounds 7 ounces and comes with a modern Gibson hard shell case.
