This is a wonderful, beautiful, fabulous guitar. Florentine cutaway one family work of art purchased new in late 1969, but the serial number, Florentine cutaway and 2 piece back are 1968. It has the narrower nut width. Original hang tags and bill of sale (purchased new in Oklahoma with a Byrdland traded in!) are included. Light weather checking, not much players wear or fret wear. The pickup covers had been professionally replaced with Gibson covers, and it has a new Gibson tun a matic, with the original covers and bridge in the case, included with the guitar. It plays great, and sounds wonderful, but the truth is, this is not really what we do- but when I picked it up and held it, and looked at it there was an artistry, a magic to it. Whoever made this was at the top of their craft. It's something.
Obviously the pickguard is not stock. There are good repro's out there, and occasionally original ones pop up. The original owners son has had the guitar for years, and the guard deteriorated. The original owner and later his son have been the only owners. We went back and forth on this one, I heard about it 2 years ago, and bought it in May.
Thanks for checking this out, It's a special instrument, with a lot of wow factor, and a killer look.
