C. 1933s Gibson TG-00 w/original case

This TG-00 likely dates to pre-1935 due to the size of the sunburst, the only readable number on the guitar is an ink stamped "396" (FON) on the neck block. This instrument has the longer "plectrum" scale of 26 1/4" (standard tenor scale is 23 1/2"). It is one of the better preserved examples of this model I've ever come across. The guitar is entirely original and save for a couple of back braces that were reglued in the past appears to have never had any repairs and needs none now. No cracks, no damage. The original finish shows some superficial pick marks that can be seen in the last few pictures as well as a small area of superficial abrasion on the back, along with typical spider-web lacquer crazing, but overall the finish condition is excellent. The neck angle is good and the guitar plays easily with saddle to spare should you want to lower the action. The original bridge has never been cut down. The neck is straight under tension and the frets are in excellent shape. The original geared Grover banjo style tuners work smoothly and hold well. The guitar is as clean and spiffy inside as it is out. Surprisingly loud with great clarity, good intonation all over the neck. Comes with what is likely its original chipboard case, which is also in excellent condition, all latches, hinges and handle in good shape and functional. $2100 plus shipping.
