Here is probably one of the rarest Gibson Guitars you will ever find, a top of the line 4-string archtop tenor guitar — the TGL-7 Special. Based on the mid-1930s Gibson L-7 with it’s highly desirable “picture frame” finger board inlays, this is the instrument made famous by Eddie Condon, the famous jazz band leader.
Featuring a 17" carved spruce top finished in sunburst, carved maple back & sides and a 4-string neck with its 22 3/4" scale length, this rarely seen classic has all the mid-range punch and cutting power as well as the singing high tones of its 6-string counterpart. With the exception of a very small of back/side-separation (pictured), this tenor guitar is in spectacularly clean condition and completely original.
