1978 Gibson The Paul Excellent, Original Hard, $1,195.00

Straight from the vaults of the famous 1970s, a classic Gibson, suitably called “The Paul” at gate time. These were put out to offer a lower-priced version of the Les Paul guitar, while retaining all the salient features. Solid mahogany body, and, improbably, a genuine ebony fingerboard, along with two real Humbuckers, in this case the original bridge pickup having been replaced with some kind of Di Marzio, get things heated up a bit, which it does admirably. Nice straight neck, nice clean frets, pretty darn clean all around. Just set up by us and ready to go. $1195 w/ohsc
