Description

Early 1965 Trini Lopez Regular model guitar. Yes we all know it was just a gussied up ES-335, with a big Firebird style peghead, fancier inlays, elongated diamond soundholes and a rosewood block with an engraved plaque bearing the artists name attached to the tailpiece. But this one is so special! Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and tailpiece insert, yes Brazilian I said, HUGE SOUNDING patent# PAF style pickups, larger profile very comfortable neck and brilliant cherry red finish, nickel hardware with chrome pickup covers, typical combination for this time frame. Lastly a very unusual serial number, 320000F, both stamped on the back of the peghead and handwritten in very ornate penmanship on the orange label inside the upper soundhole. I think this guitar was assigned this unusual serial number for some special reason, although I can't fathom what that might be. Anyway it's one of the finest early examples of this model that you are likely to find and a great Gibson semi-hollow type guitar to boot. If I had a hammer I'd go find a lemon tree. All original with original case.
