Gibson USA SG Junior, Vintage Cherry
An essential favorite — the newly refreshed American-built Gibson SG Junior returns with a more accurate '60s classic design that made it relevant, played and loved — decorated in a tried-and-true Vintage Cherry color with a black 5-ply pickguard and nickel hardware. Initially introduced in the early 60's as a student model, the SG Junior has been embraced by musicians for almost sixty years. This guitar features a mahogany solidbody with a SlimTaper early '60s-style neck and a rich lacquer finish, with a smooth rosewood fingerboard on top.
Aside from the hallmark sharp vintage body scarfing and perfect playability of this guitar, it's also equipped with a powerful single dogear P-90 pickup with handwired controls and an Orange Drop capacitor — shapeable by a singular volume and singular tone control. The Vintage Deluxe style tuners with white buttons and the compensated wraparound bridge also contribute to simplicity, function and a rock-solid tone.
