1996 Gibson '58 Les Paul Historic Reissue!

These NEVER come up for sale. First year of the figured R8's available through Yamano, the Japanese distributor for Gibson guitars back at this time. One of the first ever made! Yamano were very particular and only accepted the best Gibson had to offer. Back when Gibson made these in very limited numbers. Known as the Good-Wood Era and this particular one shows why people call them that! Killer tops, great finish, and more time spent making these guitars. This particular model has a stunning quilt top finished in Amber Burst.  A not-too-beefy '58 profile neck combined with a pair of Gibson PAF reissue humbuckers makes this gorgeous Les Paul an awesome sounding guitar & a must have for any serious player or collector!

This R8 is pretty clean with only light swirls and slight surface marks as shown. Incredibly clean for 20+ years old! The guitar comes with the original hardshell case, original Yamano paperwork, and hang tags as shown. The pickups are Gibson '57 Classics. The guitar has a beautiful top and really great color. These rarely come up for sale and is a great opportunity for those looking for the "Good-Wood" Era of the 1990's!
