This instrument, to me, represents everything good that Leo Fender ever contributed to the bass guitar. It's a great combination of cool features that allow you to enjoy and play the bass at an optimum level. We'll dial some of them out for you;

The tuners, strap buttons and neckplate all hail from the mighty Musicman Stingray and if you're a Stingray fan, you'll recognize them immediately. They're a nice touch and add an instant familiarity to the bass. The body is a Telecaster design and sits comfortably for the player, whether seated or standing. It's a classic look that reminds us of those vintage '60s Teles. When you put your left hand on the neck, you'll immediately be reminded of the great Fender Jazz bass. The sleek and comfortable neck profile is absolutely perfect for the player with small to medium-sized hands. Having played Jazz basses for over 30 years, my first comment to the seller was "Great neck. I love it."

This bass is a very early example, having Leo's signature on the upper bout and neck and pocket dates of 1990. There are a couple of small dings and a few very light surface scratches, but these are hard to detect and you'll have to really look for them. The package as a whole is the most complete on the market and the original hardshell case is also in very good condition. We have included a schematic of the controls so you can see how the bass operates and which tonal options you will have.

As always, we thank you for stopping by and please feel free to call or email with any questions or requests!
