Offered for sale;

Used 2000 G&L Legacy serial number CLF27628.

This Legacy is in excellent condition, neck and frets are fine without issue. Cosmetically very clean, the Birdseye maple neck with vintage tint gloss is just beautiful. We here at Imperial Guitar sold this instrument new to the original owner in 2000.

G&L is a guitar design and production company founded by Leo Fender, George Fullerton, and Dale Hyatt in the late 1970s. Leo sold his original company, Fender Electric Instrument Manufacturing Company, in 1965. He designed and produced instruments for Music Man in the 1970s through his company CLF Research. When relations with Music Man soured, G&L was created to continue operations outside of Music Man. The G&L name comes from the initials of George (Fullerton) and Leo (Fender).

Leo Fender took the Legacy forward from his "Strat" designs by incorporating several improvements. Featuring a flatter fingerboard radius that makes string bending easier. 22 larger frets, truss rod adjustment at the peg head, a better tremolo with a two-point mount which is more stable and a removable trem arm with a tension adjustment screw. Sperzel non locking tuners are another nice addition. The Legacy is wired differently also, with Passive Treble and Bass system (PTB). The top control is volume, the center is treble roll-off, the lower control is bass roll-off, all controls are "global" affecting all positions of the 5- way pickup selector switch.

This is a beautiful Legacy and really does play and sound exceptionally good, you can just feel the attention to detail, and it feels good!

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.

If you prefer your item to be sent without a required signature Imperial Guitar and the selected carrier can no longer be responsible for the security of the package once it has been delivered.
