Description

Replay Guitar Exchange is proud to offer the totally unique Gold Tone Traditional Irish Mandola — often used in Celtic traditional music, the Mandola is to the mandolin what the viola is to the violin. Built in China, this Mandola features a solid spruce top with a natural gloss finish, along with a mahogany thin U-shaped neck that shows off a select wood fingerboard. The four double courses of strings are usually tuned in fifths to CGDA, a fifth lower than a mandolin, but many other tuning can be used.

The Mandola features authentic Celtic tone and low, comfortable playing action. The cast brass tailpiece is stronger and thicker than sheet metal tailpieces, providing more sustain. This traditionally shaped and finished mandola will complement the sound of any acoustic ensemble — ready for you now at Replay Guitar Exchange! As always, feel free to contact our store for more details, or with any questions.
