Description

No doubt about it, James Goodall makes some of the finest acoustic guitars currently available. Offered here is a beautiful Goodall Koa Concert Jumbo Cutaway (KCJC) built in Hawaii in 2008.

The KCJC is a 14-fret, 25.5" scale guitar with a Venetian cutaway. The body is 20" long, 15-7/8" wide at the lower bout and 4-3/4" deep. This particular instrument has a AAA-grade Adirondack Spruce top matched with AAA-grade Koa for the back and sides. It is trimmed in Rosewood and Ebony, along with an Abalone rosette. It has a Mahogany neck with a depth of .85" at the first fret and .91" at the twelfth. The fretboard is Ebony with a 16" radius, Abalone inlays and a 1.75" bone nut. It has an Ebony bridge with 2-5/16" string spacing. The tuners are Gotoh 510's with Ebony buttons.

The KCJC's size gives it plenty of power, but it also has a very clear and succinct voice that is very well balanced. Please check out the brief sound sample and video provided. I think the tone is magnificent! Whether you use your fingers or a flat pick, this guitar excels. It plays with great ease and is currently setup for fingerstyle play with 12th fret string heights of 5.5/64" on the low E side and 4/64" on the high E side.

This one-owner instrument is in excellent condition. The only flaws are some tiny impressions on the top and back and some light string change scratches on the headstock. These flaws are so small and shallow that I was unable to get useful photos of them. The frets are in great condition with little to no observable wear. It comes in it's original hardshell case along with the un-signed warranty card and Goodall cloth.

A new example with these specs would cost approximately $8,500. Get this well-preserved, Hawaii-built example for thousands of dollars less. Make this beautiful Goodall acoustic yours today. You will be very happy you did!
