Description

Offered here is yet another superb Traditional 000 12-fret built by James Goodall during his Hawaiian era. This example has an Adirondack Spruce top and East Indian Rosewood for the back and sides. Other key specs include: a 15-3/16" wide lower bout; 4-1/4" body depth; 25" string scale; 1.75" nut; 2-1/4" string spacing; Ebony fretboard and bridge; bone nut and saddle; Curly Maple purfling; Abalone fretboard inlays; Boxwood bridge pins and Waverly tuners with Ivoroid buttons. A passive, K&K end pin pickup is installed should you need to gigging instrument. If you like the comfort of an small guitar but want the power of a dread, an 000-size guitar might fit you perfectly. This guitar gives you power in the lower and middle registers, but you also get clarity and note separation that is sometimes missing from a larger guitar. Flat or finger pick, this guitar loves them both. It can be intimate or forceful depending on your level of attack. It has lots of saddle left and is set up nicely with 12th fret string heights of 6/64" on both the low and high E strings. This guitar was built in Hawaii in 2004, but you would never know if by its cosmetic condition. I'll call it near mint because the only flaws that I can find are a few light string change scratches on the headstock overlay. The top, back, neck and frets are near flawless, despite its age. Even the pickguard is relatively clean. It comes in the original Goodall/TKL case which is in very good condition. This is a great, all-around, high-end acoustic for the money. Make this yours and you will quickly see why I keep buying them for our inventory!
