Offered for sale:
Used c1958 Goya G30 classical guitar serial number 377195. "Made by A.B. Herman Carlson Levin, Gothenburg, Sweden."
Goya guitars were handmade in Sweden with all solid wood construction. The G30 features a German fine veined spruce top; European flame maple back and sides; rosewood bridge with mother of pearl top cap; mahogany neck with rosewood/maple/rosewood stringer, reinforced with an aluminum T bar; ebony fingerboard; marquetry purfling around the soundhole; and decorative inlay on the headpiece.
It appears that at some point, near the end piece, a small section of the back and back binding came unglued. The reglue was structurally sound but it didn’t lay perfectly flat, so you can feel a little ridge in that area. See photo.
The G30 model is said to be the flagship of the Goya line. There was a rosewood G-40 and 45 but the 30 was the model heavily advertised and endorsed by artists such as Melanie and Theodore Bikel.
This guitar has a very focused tone, clear with good bass response.
This is an interesting European classical for a very reasonable price.

*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
