Retrofret Stock # 7630. Goya Rangemaster Model 113SB Model Solid Body Electric Guitar (1966), made in Italy, serial # 1345, sunburst polyester finish, hardwood body, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, original molded plastic hard shell case. Overall length is 41 1/2 in. (105.4 cm.), 12 3/4 in. (32.4 cm.) wide at lower bout, and 1 1/2 in. (3.8 cm.) in depth, measured at side of rim. Scale length is 24 3/4 in. (629 mm.). Width of nut is 1 5/8 in. (41 mm.). One of the nicer Goya Rangemasters as we have ever had, nearly all original and looking only moderately played. The finish is still shiny and unchecked, but there are several fairly large chips around the edges and there are some small scuffs and scratches overall. The neck and frets show very little wear, with a couple of finish chips on the treble edge. The only alteration is the original large oven-style knob has gone missing and been replaced with a metal dome-top Tele-style knob. The mirror-plastic insets on the selector buttons are intact, and the often elusive slot-in trem arm is still present. The "Goya" stencil logo is partly rubbed off the pickguard but overall a this is a very good playing example of this slightly off-the-wall Italian "Veg-O-Matic" plastic-buttoned fretted creation. These were not intended as a low-budget guitar, and compared to many period Italian-made guitars are solidly made and a better playing instruments than many would expect. The Rangemaster is a versatile solid body with four individual half-pickups arranged in pairs, producing some interesting sounds! Includes the somewhat wacky but functional original molded plastic case, with a crack in in the handle area but still fully usable. Excellent - Condition.
