Gretsch 115 Synchromatic 1948 Trans Blonde
Here's a 1948 Gretsch Synchromatic in Trans Blonde finish. Really cool 40's Archtop, that plays & sounds great! Spruce top, maple back & sides, 16" wide body, 24 1/2" scale, 14 frets clear of the body, and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard. Beautiful clear tone that's full & projecting. The changed parts to note are the tuners & bridge. The tailpiece, which is original, slightly broke off at the bottom, but was secured to the heel block through the top. It's 100% secure. There's also a rosewood strip inlaid into the back of the neck and the body has been re-bound. The guitar had a neck re-set, and now has easy playing action. Very good re-fret was done along with the neck set. The guitar plays great! The bass side of the headstock has been doweled on the edge, and is also secure.
