Description

This is a 1960 Gretsch 6120. These can be tricky as some are great and some simply kind of suck. I particularly like the 60 and 61 model years. A few of them, mostly in 1960, ended up with wildly figured tops. This is pretty flamey. The body in 1960 was 2 1/2" deep-the only full year for that depth. 61 went to 2 1/4" Earlier ones were 2 7/8". Condition is excellent with no checking and only minor wear and a little discoloration where the previous owner arm rested. There is a 1" section binding missing on the treble side of the neck. Easy fix. No binding rot. The guard looks like it came off a later Nashville. There is a black guard in the case as well. This guitar has patent pending Filtertron pickups. It is stock except for the added Grover Imperial tuners (no visible holes) and the vintage ABR-1 Bridge. The original bar bridge and base are included. The ABR-1 intonates better. Comes with the über cool original cowboy case in good condition
