Welcome to JTKM STUDIO

Did you miss out on our 1955 Gretsch Roundup? That’s ok. The good news for you is that we may well have it beat here! Read on!

Here we have to offer a stunning 1955 Gretsch 6121 complete with its original white cowboy case. If that isn’t rare enough for you, according to Edward Ball’s Manual of 1950’s Gretsch Guitars (if you don’t own this I suggest you should) this one happens to be one of the first run examples made in 1955. So we are now in the realm of rare and very first production example territory. We can now top that off with the fact that this Gretsch is 100% minus an excellent and probably much needed re-fret.

This one plays, feels and sounds unreal. We cannot stress that enough! As always, we will let the photos do most of the talking, this one genuinely is a masterpiece. Many more images are available.

Full western features throughout, so the cows are back and those cacti. Adding in the white cowboy case with the western details really finishes the job off nicely. Gold hardware throughout, DeArmond single coil pickups which are just amazing, fixed arm bigsby with aluminium compensated bridge, open-back tuners (all original and working perfectly), signpost detailed pickguard and expected 24.5” scale length.

Most importantly in terms of collectability, this one is free from the deadly Gretsch Syndrome. That means no rotting binding and no neck-joint issues. The neck-joint is rock solid and issue free.

There you have it, yet another masterpiece here at JTKM STUDIO.
