This is the most recognized of the early production Gretsches made, its original Black “plastic drum covered” finished tops is incredibly clean, its natural finished back & neck have had some play wear still retaining most of its original finish, its 2 D’Armond pickups are super punchy & have that fantastic brittle tone one can only hope for from these rare solid bodied Gretsches, its factory pearloid Block inlaid fingerboard is clean with its original frets have only slight wear, its Silver pickgard finishes her off perfectly, all chrome hardware, its open back tuners have been replaced w/a cool set of Grover Imperial tuners, its original wooded bridge base is screwed to its top w/tiny screws…obviously played it a ton LOL, its got a Gibson tun-a-matic bridge on it, it holds nice intonation & its “G” cutout tailpiece completes its look, its label inside is still very legible & its got untouched electronics, just in from its last 30+ year ownership, overall its very good & she comes with its original gray hard case.
