1965 Gretsch 6128 Duo Jet Double Cut Black Clean w/ Original Case and Paperwork
This vintage original 1965 Gretsch Duo Jet is nice and clean with original cerrtifcte and paperwork and original hardshell case. A perfect example for the player and collector alike.
Original double cut version with Filtertron pickups and Bigsby Vibrato.
Original Filtertron pickups are remarkably warm, punchy and bright with a classic vintage Gretsch tone a la George Harrison and The Who...plug it into a vintage Magnatone and it sounds like Who's Next!
Neck is straight and plays great all the way up and down without buzz or issue. Neck angle is perfect and there is no sign of the neck ever being reset. This is a particularly great example, very well made. Binding is in excellent condition without any flaking or cracking.
Original jet black finish is stunning and really quite clean. The back has some residue from a scratch prevention pad the previous customer had on there. Is is purely cosmetic and gives the guitar some character. The serial number is etched in the control plate and it matches the certificate of the guitar.
Original pickguard has been cracked and professionally glued back together. We left it in the case.

We use UPS ground for shipping. We can work out overnight shipping on a case by case basis. Buyer pays all shipping charges.
All Sales Final. The only exception is internet sales. Please make sure you get an in-hand description for guitars purchased via the internet. 24 hour approval period on internet sales. After 24 hours, no returns. Buyer assumes all shipping charges. If we agree to a return, as in an internet sale, instruments must be returned in the condition they were sent. Shipping costs will be deducted from the return, and buyer will assume these costs. If we accept a return there will also be a 5% re-stocking fee. All merchandise sold is in used - as is condition. All sales final. If there is an exception made on any return over 24 hours, there will be a 15% re-stocking fee to the customer. No returns whatsoever on guitar parts.
