DESCRIPTION
For your consideration a 1965 Gretsch Model 6162 combo amp! Made by Valco in Chicago in the mid 60s, this little 18 watt 2×10 tube combo has got some mojo! Lush warm cleans on lower volumes but crisp hairy overdrive when you start to push it. It’s got that classic Valco tremolo sound! The reverb is dark and haunting! Sounds fantastic!

Specs! This amp is in good condition. The original speakers have been replaced with Jensen C10Q and the speakers were rewired. The filter caps were replaced. The stand-by switch was bypassed. The power cable was upgraded to a 3 prong. The tubes have been replaced. Its a 2×10 combo rated at about 18 watts. The tube configuration is three 12AX7s, one 12AU7, one 5U4 (RCA) rectifier, two 6973 power tubes and a 6EU7. Knob lay out is Volume, Tone, Reverb, Speed & Intensity.
