Description

Talk about a guitar that gets no respect, the Gretsch Country Club has to be the Rodney Dangerfield of electric guitars. It looks gorgeous. OK, it's not a flamey and figured but neither is a $125,000 blonde 335. And tone? Nothing wrong with the way this guitar sounds. I'd put it up against any P90 equipped Gibson from the same era. So, why so cheap? Because it doesn't say Gibson or Fender on it. And because later Gretsches have all kinds of quality issues and it brings down the entire line. Too bad but it means you can get some top quality vintage guitars for the price of a reissue. This 56 is all original and I don't throw the term "mint" around like some. This is mint. No dings, no dents, no checking, no wear, no scratches, no nuthin'. You won't find a cleaner one. It's in a "snowflake" case which I believe to be original (I've seen 56's in tweed cases as well).
