Description

Summary: This is a great playing 2005 Gretsch Duo-Jet made in Japan and it ships with the original hardshell case. This instrument has been played a lot & there is lots of wear on the guitar but it feels worn in & comfortable & it will make someone very happy.

Body: Solid body, single cutaway Duo-Jet with a fully bound top. This guitar has a chambered mahogany body with a maple cap.

Neck: Fully bound mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard, 22 frets, pearloid side fret markers, 1 21/32” nut width, 24.5” scale length, V-shaped neck.

Pickups/Hardware: Two humbuckers in neck and bridge positions. Controls include a master volume pot and independent volume pots for each pickup, a three way pickup selector, and separate three way tone selector. This guitar has chrome hardware, vintage style tuning keys, Gretsch Bigsby tremolo, replacement tune-o-matic bridge, original roller bridge included in the case.

Cosmetics: This guitar has seen lots of use in its lifetime – the original owner played with the Beaver Brown Band & this guitar was played a lot. The back has a lot of buckle rash on it – the guitar has various nicks & dings on the body and lots of pick scratching on the top. Overall you can tell it has been used a lot but structurally this instrument is totally sound & ready to go.

Playability: We put a new set of 10’s on this Gretsch & set it up so the action is low & the guitar plays great up & down the fingerboard.

Modifications: The original space control roller bridge was replaced with a tune-o-matic bridge.

Weight: 7 lbs, 8 oz.

Case: This Gretsch comes with the original hard shell case & it also has the original roller bridge included….
