Here is a rare and cool acoustic/electric guitar. The first Gretsch instruments to be made in Korea were the Historic series. They combined features of vintage models with modern improvements. It has a 15″ arched top and back full depth hollow body with '30s style cat's eye sound holes and rosewood stair step bridge. Metallic Gold finish, Chrome hardware, 24.75″ scale 20 fret neck . The pickup is a Bartolini modern floating, fret-board mounted mini humbucker (custom ad on). The volume and tone controls are mounted on the pick guard. Nothing touches the top leaving it free to resonate as was the style with early Jazz guitars and finer acoustic instruments. It is quite loud acoustically compared to other hollow bodies. The neck has the standard Gibson scale length with pearl thumbnail fret markers, bound rosewood fret board, modern C shaped contour. It is comfortable to play and has a nice bark acoustically and the Bartolini gives it a beautiful warm, fat sound.
