Offered for sale; c2009 Gretsch G5122DC serial number KS09044986. This guitar is in excellent condition, neck and frets are fine, cosmetically quite clean.
Featuring laminated maple back, sides and top, laminated maple neck with rosewood fingerboard. 22 medium jumbo frets are fitted with a 24.75” scale length and a 1 11/16” nut width. Gretsch Dual-Coil humbuckers, adjusto-matic bridge on rosewood base, G-arrow knobs and a Bigsby B60 vibrato tailpiece are the highlights.
“For a Gretsch, the Electromatic Double Cut is quite simple. Not sporting the filter knobs and switches that you normally see in the higher end models, the Electromatic has a pickup selector, a single tone knob, independent volume knobs for each pickup, and a master volume knob. That’s it. If you’re looking for simplicity, then this is a great guitar to have.” The G5122DC kind of exudes the feel and style of the 6122 Country Gentleman, but smaller with a 16”body and this early generation Electromatic has full size medium output humbuckers rather than Filter’Trons.
This Korean built lovely shows a high build quality and attention to detail. Simply a great sounding, great playing guitar.
Hard shell case included.
*Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of used pieces. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
