This guitar is in excellent condition showing very limited playing time.

The current iteration of the famous and highly acclaimed Professional Collection by Gretsch is made up of four segments - Vintage Select, Limited Edition, Player`s Edition, and artist Signature. All four cater to different types of players and, thus, pay more attention to different sets of details and appointments.

G6119T Players Edition Tennessee Rose belongs to the Players Edition, the sub-series created primarily for performing and touring musicians. The Tennessee Rose, like the rest of the PE models, has strap locks, locking tuners, string-thru Bigsby tailpiece, Squeezebox P10 capacitors, and more. Dark Cherry Stain (w/chrome hardware and classic Gretsch styling) is the only available color option. Main construction features include a laminated maple body (hollow, single-cut), maple neck (set-in, 24.6" scale), 22-fret ebony fingerboard, Bigsby bridge, High Sensitive FilterTron pickups, and locking Gotoh tuners.

Originally known as the Tennessean, Gretsch has produced a variety of G6119 Tennessee Rose guitars over the years. The variations include different pickup options, simulated or real F-holes, different bridge options, Chet Atkins signature or not on the pickguard.

The Tennessean got a huge amount of notoriety by George Harrison. First in late 1963, later at Carnegie Hall, and then on the For Sale album. He also used it on TV appearances well into 1965 as well as in the opening sequence of the film Help! and at the first Shea Stadium concert that August. It was used again on Sgt. Pepper.
