Replay Guitar Exchange is proud to offer this fitting tribute to the rhythm guitar greatness of the late Malcolm Young (1953-2017). This Gretsch G6131-MY Malcolm Young Signature Jet guitar is from 1996, the first year that these guitars were made — long before the 2017 passing of the AC/DC legend. You'll notice that, unlike more recent Malcolm Young signature models, this does not have the empty pickup cavities, the abandoned controls for those missing pickups, or the idiosyncratic decorative 'knobs' that Malcolm's original Jet 'The Beast' had — but the result is a more streamlined (and, arguably, more conventionally beautiful) experience that you'll enjoy nonetheless.
This Gretsch is in Good condition, with various wear including buckle rash, numerous body edge dings and wear, scratches and top damage near the tone control — and an estimated 80% remaining fret life. Of course, this cosmetic wear affects neither the guitar's core functionality, nor its potential in your hands as a fundamentally inspiring creative tool. There's gonna be some rockin'!
