Description

VINTAGE - 1966 Gretsch G6187 Viking hollow body guitar in 2-tone sunburst. The Viking was one of the wildest guitars Gretsch had ever made. It was top of the line and second only to the White Falcon when it was first introduced in 1964. The guitar is all original with factory stock parts and has the largest 17-inch Gretsch hollow body and is fitted with a pair of Gretsch Super-Tron pickups, Bigsby Vibrato, triple bound ebony fingerboard with thumb inlays. The Viking comes with the crazy cool “Floating Sound” bridge unit and “T-zone tempered treble” upper frets, which were features only available in the 1960’s on a few Gretsch models. The guitar is in excellent condition with some binding cracks, which is quite common of most Gretsch guitars from the mid 60’s. The guitar came from the original owner who bought it new in 1966. This guitar plays and sounds great!
