Here is a stunning vintage original 1954 Gretsch Model 6193 Electro II in original Blonde Curly Maple finish. Stunning.
Made right here in NYC, The Electro II is the predecessor to the Country Club. It is actually the same model number. Gretsch began making the Country Club the same year this guitar was made. This is a real fine example of a piece of Gretsch history.
It has been well cared for and it is in excellent condition. The neck is straight and true with no buzz or issues. It has had a professional neck reset so the action is nice and it plays great.
Original Dearmond pickups are remarkably warm and full of tone. These are some of the best sounding pickups ever made.
A particularly nice finish with a particularly fine curly maple top and back.
Some signs of age, a little binding shrinkage, but besides that it is really in excellent condition. The pickguard has survived all these years! So have the see through knobs!
This one is as nice to look at as it is to play!
Comes with a real nice high quality hardshell case.
