Description

Offered is this very cool limited run Gretsch Nashville Single Cut with a unique figured Koa body built in Japan in 2015.

This guitar is a hollowbody design with trestle bracing, a body depth of 2.5" and a lower bout width of 16". The body is made of highly figured laminated Koa. The body, neck, headstock and F-holes are bound in ivoroid. The glued-in neck is made of Maple with a Walnut stripe and truss rod and has a very soft V shape with depth measurements of .84" at the 1st fret increasing to .95" at the 12th. The fretboard is Rosewood and has a 12" radius, medium/jumbo fret wire, MOP "Neo-Classic Thumbnail" inlays and a 1.687" Tusq nut. All the hardware is gold. It has an rocking bar bridge with an Ebony base and a Bigsby B6G tailpiece. The tuners are Grover Rotomatics. The electronics include two High Sensitivity Filter 'Tron pickups with a volume control for each pickup, a master volume, a master tone and a three-way pickup toggle. It has a total weight of just 6 pounds, 9 ounces.

While the Koa gives this a very unique appearance, the playability and tone are classic Gretsch. This is the sound of Rockabilly music; loud and proud! Please check out the brief sound sample provided. Nothing sounds quite like a Gretsch guitar and the pickups have a great deal to do with this. This is an extremely well made instrument that plays effortlessly. The light weight and shallow depth make it extremely comfortable to play.

This very limited instrument is in near mint condition showing no flaws of any significance. The frets are flawless as well. It comes in it's similarly mint hardshell case along with a brown leather Gretsch strap, the truss rod tool and spec sheet.
